On the anniversary of the historic July 21 (30 Tir) uprising, Resistance Units carried out 50 activities in Tehran and 15 other cities — Tabriz, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Kerman, Kermanshah, Sari, Bandar Abbas, Sanandaj, Qazvin, Gorgan, Kashan, Borujerd, and Marvdasht — once again demonstrating the Iranian people’s determination to continue Mossadegh’s path and fight against the ruling religious dictatorship.

The 30 Tir 1331 (July 21, 1952) uprising, formed under the slogan “Death or Mossadegh” in support of the great leader of the Iranian people, Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, and against the Shah’s dictatorship, became a symbol of the Iranian nation’s resistance to tyranny. The founding of the National Council of Resistance of Iran on the same day in 1981 is the historical continuation and evolution of that anti-dictatorship path.

In Tehran, resistance units displayed a banner on the Jenah Expressway, featuring Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the NCRI, with the slogan:

“The Iranian Resistance has kept Mossadegh’s flag raised as the symbol of the fight for freedom against dictatorship.”

In Karaj, on the Tehran–Qazvin freeway, a banner of the leader of the Resistance, Mr. Massoud Rajavi, was installed with the slogan: “If Mossadegh were alive today, he would be a comrade of our bloody resistance.”

Resistance units wrote messages and created visual displays throughout various cities with slogans such as:

“To be a Mossadeghi means rejecting compromise with both the Shah and the mullahs.”
“The Iranian Resistance’s main crime is guarding Mossadegh’s legacy.”
“No Shah, no mullahs, no surrender — only freedom.”

Resistance units also echoed Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh’s message on the first anniversary of the 30 Tir uprising through posters, visual displays, and graffiti in Tehran, Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz, Qazvin, and Sari: “The national uprising of 30 Tir is unforgettable, because the Iranian nation rose up united and with one voice against foreign provocations and did not stop until it achieved its goal.”

With these actions, resistance units sent a clear message to the people of Iran: Mossadegh’s path lives on and today is embodied in the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
