Malcolm-Jamal Warner, former ‘Cosby Show’ star, dead at 54

Malcolm Jamal Warner, the actor most famous for his role as Bill Cosby’s son, Theodore Huxable on the NBC hit sitcom The Cosby Show in the 80s and early 90s, has died. Police say he drowned off the coast of Costa Rica yesterday while vacationing with his family. Warner was born in New Jersey and raised by his mother, who enrolled him in acting school. His role on the Cosby Show earned him an Emmy nomination in 1986. And then after the Cosby Show, Warner went on to direct and produce multiple television shows while playing uh music and writing poetry. Malcolm Jamal Warner was 54 years

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the actor perhaps best known for starring in the TV sitcom “The Cosby Show” as son Theodore “Theo” Huxtable, has died at 54.

Warner drowned off the coast of Costa Rica on Sunday, Costa Rican National Police told ABC News. Warner’s official cause of death was asphyxia, police said.

  3. Omg😢. I grew up watching the Cosby show. He's become even a better actor popping up in some of my newer shows I've been watching. Sad day for sure. RIP
