When I went as a child the entire group listened to the talk about not touching the stalagmites due to the permanent damage it can cause and it was some lard ass adult that ended up fingering one and getting shouted at.
Guy still lives rent free in my head, who the fuck does that.
Is she going to a club?
On the plus side, you can just pee yourself, nobody will notice.
Amber weather warning for rain – let’s go to these semi-underwater caves.
They made improvements to that ride since I was a wayne.
Aye let’s take the high heels a rip to the local cave hole….I dont get folk at all man
Fancy outfit for a cave.
They got an amusing story (when told in retrospect anyway ) out of it – at least.
I need someone to put the Jet2holiday music over this.

Nothing says caving like nice clothes and heels
Why were the caves even open with the Amber warning in place?
When your touring the caves at 1 and then bottomless brunch at 3
“Near far wherever you are”
At least they’ll get to see how the caves were formed before they drown.
Panic stations!
While not the point of the video, but who would ever think heels were a good choice for that environment?
She’s the best looking, best dressed caver I ever saw ☺️
Used to work here myself many moons ago. Just want to address a couple of things. The caves had/have remote monitoring of the river levels that enter the caves. This is to give advance warning of any flooding. A downpour like this may have been very localized or so heavy there was very little time to react.
The full video shows that they were not mid way through the tour. They were only a few hundred yards in from where u get off the boats. The boat journey is calm water and can only operate at certain levels. Too high of a water level and you just won’t get through.Albeit the current can be quite strong.
The guide has realized obviously earlier in tour that something is amiss, probably when they were not long off the boats and is marching them out. They may have been alerted by the internal comms from above ground to make a speedy exit.
Finally keeping your hands out of the water in the boat journey is about safety. The boat operators have to steer a pretty perilous journey which includes close proximity and maybe even contact with rocks sometimes. Half a ton of boat and maybe 8-10 adults on board and your hand would be pretty minced if it got between boatt and a rock!
I know locally that the downpour was pretty localized, a couple of miles away had no rain or v little
Finally the guide did a sterling job, he would have realized how much trouble they were in but did a great job of keeping himself calm and getting the tour out ASAP. Other additional guides were on hand too which can be seen in the longer video.
If they did this as a featured tour, I’d totally be up for it!
“Would you like the regular cave exploration experience, or for a fiver more you can upgrade to the Extreme Inundation Experience!”
Just take my money!
The Marble Arch cave tours can get cancelled at short notice if the river levels surge, Guides on the boats point out the water erosion on the ceiling to visitors, so the cave can completely flood in the boat trip section.. A partial, walking tour can continue by using the stairs to go in and out. This seems to be part of the flash flooding I heard about on Sunday, coming down the exit stairs from the surface.. If they managed the boat trip before this, that came on FAST…
Soon people will be live streaming from burning buildings as the fire service come to rescue them!!

An umbrella nice
“What you been up to?”
I would have smacked him.
