[Caponata](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caponata) has disappeared from Delhaize both shops and [online](https://www.delhaize.be/nl-be/shop/Zoute-kruidenierswaren/Chips-en-aperitief-snacks/Olijven-tapenades-en-anderen/Tapenades-en-bruschettas/Bruchette-Caponata/p/S2017092704177850000) with the same [situation](https://www.carrefour.fr/p/legumes-cuisines-caponata-carrefour-3560071093679) in Carrefour. Other supermarket chains don’t have it to my knowledge as well. It’s been months and no change, it doesn’t seem to me it will return.
Any idea where to find caponata or something similar? Ideally not miniature size and reasonably priced.

I’m pretty sure 90% if Belgians don’t even know what caponata is. I presume it has to do with a too low demand for that product. If that’s the case, you won’t see it reappearing for a while.
If you have time, making it is quite easy. The longuest part is just to cut the vegetables.
TIL what caponata is …
Maybe you could take a look at [Raineri](https://www.raineri.be/nl/) in Genk. I don’t know whether they have this in particular but they have a lot of other bruschetta spreads. I heard from my Italian teacher the SPAR supermarkets in Genk and Beringen also stock a lot of imported Italian products.
