1. “Last year, 582 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacity, such as hydropower, solar, wind and geothermal, was added globally. This was nearly 20% higher than in 2023. Around 91% of the utility-scale projects commissioned were more cost effective than fossil fuel alternatives, the report said.”

2. It doesn’t matter. Cost is no longer part of the equation. Raw political power is. And the fossil fuel industry is installing (extreme) right wing governments the world over to protect their business interests.

8. Solar energy. I mean, come on. Turning sunlight into energy. How simple can it get? Plants have been doing it for millions of years. And the sun doesn’t charge.
