That is called obsessive compulsive and seems to be a key component to today’s business leaders
Thy name is greed.
Sounds miserable
Sounds like a horrible way to live but I guess he is making more money than I can even imagine
I would switch in a heart beat with this guy… 45 million a year compensation ffs.
If I am paid by the minute, a movie costs me thousands of dollars!
Ooooo nooooo, pooor CEO.
Thats his own fault he cant do anything but work.
Stupid ass…
Uh ok?
He can afford to and gets compensated for such.
> But not all his hours on the clock are answering emails or sitting through meetings; the 62-year-old often spends his time as a leader envisioning the future.
Not to discredit success, but not everyone can say they work every waking hour just because they’re thinking of work.
This reminds me of the nonsense they fed me in school of how early the S&P 500 CEOs start their morning. You pull back the layers and it’s self reported.
These people make millions monthly; a lot of that is based on office politics and perception.
And that means he is richer than me?
Too much money is second only to not enough money in terms of the problems it causes.
Weird. If I had a trillion I’d never worry about anything ever again.
Sounds like a tragedic article about mental illness? Are we supposed to look up at these husks?
If I do this, I still won’t be getting paid as much as a billionaire
Mentally unstable and proud.
CEO pushes for nationwide Social Security checks issued to every American from birth to death, vouches his own salary and the licensing fees from companies that use AI as coverage!
I want to scream at people who focus their life solely on work, but then again, people like these are the main pushers of humanity’s progress. THEN AGAIN, has progress become its own purpose? Sounds very one dimensional :-/
That sounds like owners of other large companies. And they’re financial risk takers.
Old people will never, ever let go of power!
It’s called he is a liar
Who cares? He’s worth billions
Makes sense when you have the most valuable company on the planet under your control.
They say exactly the same thing about Elon, who is clearly spending half his day scrolling Twitter.
These stories are meant to make you believe that business leaders are just superior people, that they are the big men of history. And that their dangerously lopsided wealth and power in society is justified.
He should get some mental health care, he could probably afford it.
I’m sure he’s such a joy for his wife, kids, (and mistresses) to be around
These guys think that they are technically working every second they’re awake
Time to retire for the oldie
Friendly reminder that Nvidia’s market cap is greater than Germany’s GDP. Nvidia reminds me in a lot of ways of Japan’s economy prior to their crash in the early 90s. For those who aren’t familiar, Japan’s real estate market was worth 4x the entire GDP of the United States.
Yeah, Nvidia ain’t a huge bubble that’s going to pop way sooner rather than later.
If he’s watching a movie he isn’t working.
So every moment I thought about flipping burgers, I’m working? Show me the money!!
Hey for a billion dollar a week, I too would work 90 hours per week.
Another factor to consider is how easy these peoples lives are OUTSIDE of work. If I could save the 3 hours a day I have to do other shit I could focus more. Imagine waking up every day , your clothes and coffee and breakfast are ready. You don’t have to do laundry, dishes, clean, cook, shop, you don’t do chores. You don’t drive places to run errands or wait in traffic to get places.
That’s on him.
Idgaf
Oh man, do I have a bridge to sell you if you believe this tripe.
“I sit through movies, but I don’t remember them because I’m thinking about work.”
What absolute bullshit. “Oh, even when I’m throwing a party on my yacht and vacationing at luxury resorts. I’m actually still working. Just trust me bro”.

I pity his life and sympathise with his family. No amount of money will make me work like this and miss being a “Father, husband, brother, friend…. Etc”. You can’t put a price on that.
The balance of scale will always tilt towards life.
No sir you can have your billions… I’ll take my time with my kids, family and friends.
Then I feel bad for him
This is pure PR mythmaking and it is embarrassing that a news outlet would publish this.
Oh my, a rich person is thinking about work while sitting on a yacht or watching a movie in their own home theater. Maybe we should all suckle at the teet of his genius and tell him how amazingly unique and interesting he is.
This self reporting nonsense is CEO-ego fluff pieces so investors stay happy and CEO-wannabes have something to jerk off to
