It’s a crazy situation, but everyone’s stood up cos there’s nothing worth sitting for.
It was the same at glastonbury festival, none of the disableds looked disabled enough
Everytime disabled people are in the public eye so many British people rush out here with their imaginary Doctorates trying to inspect people for disabilities like they’re being paid by the DWP.
Not every disabled person is bedbound or wheel chair bound. Some are able to stand for short periods of time. Or walk small distances but need a wheelchair to support them further.
If people are truly faking being disabled they should be punished for it.
Asking as someone who isn’t disabled, if you buy an accessible ticket, do you need to show proof of your disability?
I’m disabled … leg disabled…
Sometimes I go to the accessible area
With my friend who doesn’t have a wheelchair and can dance/walk no problem. We are
In our early 40s and sometimes get funny looks.
My friend is completely blind and partially deaf: out in the “normal” section, he tends to get pushed about accidentally because people are
Drunk. But, he’s also had aggression for not moving for people or some guys have kicked off that he looked at them funny (yeah, because he can’t fucking see you pal)
So yeah, unless we have some hard looking men with us, I prefer we use the accessible area.
It’s quite ignorant to think that people in wheelchairs can’t stand up and even take a few steps.
