  2. My wife said that the British isles is all England. The Scots and Welsh just like to call their bits of England Scotland and Wales.

  9. It’s not all that hard to imagine, really, given the shape of Britain since 2008.

    Scotland and Wales become independent and NI reunited with Ireland- whether they, or the Irish want it.

    Northern England also gains independence and the Midlands becomes a self-governing autonomous unit. Derbyshire and Lincolnshire proclaimed UN DMZs for 10 years, while war continues in Nottinghamshire and Sheffield. Riots in Stoke, orchestrated by either side, alternately.

    Cornwall threatens to leave Southern and Midland England to join Wales. Meanwhile, all the money leaves London and goes offshore.

  12. As someone born In Serbia, not ethnically Serbian, and currently living in the UK, I don’t get it – unless it’s some form of poorly executed rage bait.
