“The Tayfun Block 4 achieves long ranges, setting another record for the Turkish defense industry. Weighing over 7 tons, this new version of the Tayfun, with its multi-purpose warhead, will be capable of destroying numerous strategic targets, such as air defense systems, command and control centers, military hangars, and critical military facilities, from kilometers away,” Roketsan said in a statement.
The 17th edition of IDEF is one of Türkiye’s leading defence industry exhibitions and has attracted considerable global attention this year. The six-day event features over 900 Turkish and 400 foreign defence companies from 44 countries.
Among the participants are major international firms including BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, and Airbus. Turkish defence leaders such as Baykar, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), Aselsan, Havelsan, FNSS, Otokar, MKE, and Roketsan are also prominently represented.
Delegations and companies from countries including China, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan are showcasing cutting-edge defence, aviation, and aerospace technologies. The presence of these nations underscores the fair’s significance as a global platform for defence cooperation.
