1. I know it’s cool to shit on Musk these days, but seems odd for the article to single him out when all social media platforms are affected by the new law, including Reddit, and this isn’t specific to Musk or Twitter.

2. I feel like tumblr banning porn really upset the internet ecosystem and it never truly recovered.

   Children shouldn’t have access to porn, whether that’s on twitter or elsewhere, but I do fear what a twitter porn exodus might bring upon us.

3. > Industry sources say Mr Musk’s X has three options: to bar all children aged under 18 from his site, remove all porn from the platform or introduce age checks for those accounts or parts of the site where there is adult content.

   Or block the UK outright.

4. I’m personally looking forward to Starmer’s public apology like he’s currently giving to Apple and Mein Fuhrer Trump when the FAANG’s collectively say fuck off and geoblock the UK, pluging all of our national infrastructure and critical systems that rely heavily on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud (as does 90% of the entire Internet – not inclusive of the offline world that has electronic systems) into a state of systemic chaos that will make Brexit and Covid or the 7/7 terror attacks look like a walk in the park (because with critical systems downed, people will for real die as a result).

   This playing chicken with the people who own our personal data, and control all of our access to information globally with a law that doesn’t protect anyone or benefit society… is fucking insane.

5. What’s to stop him just opting for malicious compliance with a twist? Introduce the age checks but run massive ad banners on the page for various VPN companies. Seems like the sort of thing he’d do to troll the politicians and wind them up.
