  1. yup nature my friend they can sense people digging and bugs getting uncovered in the dirt

Hens are the same will come running over to you and start tearing through the uncovered dirt

  2. It’s like when you throw out breadcrumbs in the back garden. Scan the sky, not a bird to be seen. Throw down the crumbs and……. WOOOSSHHH, they swoop down outta nowhere!

  3. They used to follow animals that burrowed and dug in the woods, like bears and wild boar. We’re just the modern version!

  4. I have one of those supervisors too. Quite tame. Will come pretty close.

  5. Aren’t they gorgeous.
I spent about an hour watching one in my garden today.
He/She was gathering food for the chick. The chick was just following around and the parent was picking up food and putting it in the chicks mouth. It was the highlight of my year so far.

  6. They’re super territorial so he’s actually just annoyed that you’re in his gaff. Even though he’ll eat the bugs you end up digging up, he’ll still be pissed you’ve the audacity to even be there.

  7. Exact same thing happened me a few weeks ago when I was cutting away a heap of ivy!

  8. Yep same exact thing when I was digging out the driveway flowerbed, knows the worms will be turfed up.

  9. Enough of this fucken side salad, show me the money
