Prince William and Princess Kate once made an incognito trip to a big music festival in Wales, it has been claimed. The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to enjoy their music and have been spotted at various concerts in the past.

But now, BBC radio DJ Scott Mills revealed that the couple made a secret trip to North Wales in 2010 to watch Rihanna, Kesha, and Paramore perform at a festival in Bangor. Mr Mills told Heat magazine: “I remember them turning up to Radio 1’s Big Weekend years ago in Bangor, North Wales.

“The bosses knew, but the rest of us had no idea for obvious security reasons.

“It was kept quiet, but they were watching Rihanna at the side of the stage. I like it that they got involved.”

The radio presenter went on to interview the royal couple in 2017 on his BBC Radio 1 show, where they spoke about mental health.

William said at the time: “This issue of mental health is really brimming under the surface of public consciousness.”

The couple revealed that the Royal Family have a family Whatsapp group, while they also talked about their favourite children’s programmes, adult shows and also revealed their favourite takeaway, with Kate’s bring a curry.

Elsewhere, Mr Mills said that William would often listen and message his Radio 1 show before switching to Radio 2.

He said: “He used to text in all the time – obviously not going, ‘Love HRH’ – but he would text in and chip in with the conversation via Radio 1’s normal contact number.”

It’s not the first time the heir to the throne was spotted at a concert.

Just last year, he took two of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to watch Taylor Swift perform at Wembley on June 21, the day of this 42nd birthday.

The royals went viral with their moves at the concert, and even took to backstage to meet the US singer and her boyfriend Travic Kelce.
