Brisbane-based Evo Energy Technologies has signed a strategic collaboration with Gas Lab Asia, an Indian manufacturer of modular carbon capture systems, to scale the rollout of carbon capture, recovery and utilisation projects across Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement was formalised on 17 July during the Carbon Capture APAC Summit 2025 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The partnership will target sectors including cement, steel, energy-from-waste, oil and gas, and power generation, alongside biogenic carbon dioxide capture from biomass and biogas facilities.
“By pairing our carbon capture know-how with Evo Energy’s on-ground capabilities, we will help Australian industry capture and reuse CO2 at scale instead of emitting it,” said Keshav Goela, Director at Gas Lab Asia.
Gas Lab’s plug-and-play systems are designed to integrate directly with utilisation applications such as crop enhancement, water remineralisation, food and beverage processing, and dry ice manufacturing. These applications offer near-term commercial returns while green hydrogen infrastructure continues to develop.
In parallel, the companies plan to prepare captured CO2 – particularly from biogenic sources – for emerging e-methanol and sustainable aviation fuel supply chains.
“Partnering with Gas Lab Asia lets us extend our advanced cogeneration, heat recovery and biogas portfolio to include proven carbon capture technology,” said Travis McNeil, CEO of Evo Energy Technologies. “Together we can offer Australian clients a one-stop route to slash emissions in hard-to-abate sectors while strengthening domestic supply chains and jobs.”
