The American Dream is no longer red, white, and blue—it’s gray. There are now more homebuyers over age 70 than under 35

Fuckers who inherited everything and worked for nothing, not passing anything on besides end of life healthcare debt

My husband’s aunt is an older boomer. Her husband died 2 years ago. She’s a year or two from 70. She sold her home in one state and then purchased a different home in our state. I asked if she was downsizing to a condo. Nope! She had to go buy herself a SFR with a large front and back yard. It’s a 3bd/1ba that is the perfect starter home for a young family. I’m actually pretty annoyed with her and all boomers. They’re just selfish pr___s.
They’ve done everything they can to keep succeeding generations from having any reasonable chance of the same success.
Less debt and lowered qualifications while they fell upstairs right into wealth.
Selfish generation.
These boomers need to remember—when the power of attorney gets passed to their millennial kids, they will *remember*.
Turns out nothing is more powerful than compound interest over 50 years.
Bought mine at 44. And just barely. Then again I’m in the Bay Area.
The ironic thing is that a major part of why the boomers were so successful is that their grandparents generation aged and retired into simple, quiet, modest lives. Boomers want to retire and live like they’re 30 again.
