Hello, today my bicycle was stolen in Salamanca. I was on a bikepackig trip from Portugal to Austria. Now I am stranded without my bike, tent and most of my clothes. I've already been to the local police department.
Do you have an idea what I can do to (help) find the bike?

  1. Check Wallapop if they are dumb enough it’s already put to sale there. If it is, before going to “buy” it, ask the police.

    Good luck.

  2. Everybody upvote this post in case it may help, who knows. Hope you find it but odds are not good.

  3. What a shame that this happened to you in my hometown, the city of Salamanca is incredibly safe, you have had very bad luck.

  4. I’m sorry it happened here.

As others have said, check Wallapop.

    Good luck

  5. I’m so sorry this happened and wish you the best of luck man, this sucks

  6. That is terrible luck. It has no markings and is probably gone forever

  7. I’m sorry for that mate. People tend to sell stolen bikes at the Sunday market at the very first hour (4 or 5 am). Also there’s been reports of high end bikes ending in Morocco for sale. Hope you’re lucky and find yours.

  8. Damn, sorry that happened. In what part of town was it stolen and do you remember the frame number? I move around town daily and frequent Wallapop and Milaunincios on bike related topics, will keep an eye out for it. Hopefully the thieves are stupid enough to run it locally and not take it apart for sale. Honestly wouldn’t have high expectations of local police.

  9. I hate bike thieves. I’m here in the country and have a Spanish phone number — if you find it for sale online, I’m willing to play potential buyer for you. We can either just buy it back or help the police with a sting. If you’re interested send me a PM.

What size frame do you ride? I might be able to find you a loaner to continue your ride.

Did I mention I fucking fucking HATE fucking bike thieves?

    🤬😡😠😤👿💀☠️
