G Adventures has unveiled two new trips for 2026 that highlight often-overlooked corners of Eastern Europe, marking the company’s first foray into Moldova and its latest standalone itinerary in Romania.

The small-group adventure operator, known for its focus on community-based tourism, says the new offerings reflect its commitment to supporting local economies while giving travellers deeper cultural experiences.

“These are two really exciting and beautiful parts of the world that remain under the radar for tourists,” said Yves Marceau, vice president of product at G Adventures.

“These trips are a fantastic example of tourism done right – where travellers can have real cultural experiences and build connections with local communities, who are welcoming tourism with open arms.”

Moldova Discovery

The seven-day Moldova itinerary starts in the capital city of Chisinau before moving through rural villages and natural sites. Highlights include:

Departures begin April 2026, with prices starting at $2,049 per person.

Highlights of Romania & the Danube Delta

The new eight-day Romania trip includes stops in iconic and lesser-known locations, from castles to wetlands. The route features: 

Visits to Peles Castle and Bran Castle, the latter made famous by DraculaExploration of the Berca Mud Volcanoes in the Buzau regionA boat journey into the Danube Delta to the remote village of Mila 23A stay with local hosts, complete with traditional meals and insight into Lipovan cultureA day on the wild beach of Sulina, where wild horses may be spotted

Priced from $2,499 per person, the trip also launches in April 2026.

Combo Tour: Heart of the East

Travellers can also combine both itineraries into a 14-day trip through Moldova and Romania, available from $4,549 per person.

Marceau said the trips were designed with sustainability in mind, bringing travellers into regions that are eager for tourism but far from overcrowded. “Each itinerary is designed to take travellers to places that don’t experience overcrowding but with so much to offer, from incredible landscapes and wildlife to food, wine, history and tranquility.”

Prices are in CAD and do not include international flights.
