Much of Southern and Central Finland will experience 'tropical nights' toward the end of the week, with the southeastern regions most likely to feel their effects.
The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) defines a tropical night as one during which the temperature does not drop below 20 degrees Celsius between 9 pm and 9 am.
July has been quite warm in Finland. Today marked the 11th consecutive day with temperatures exceeding 30°C somewhere in the country — though no major records have been broken yet.
The hot streak is expected to continue, and nights in the east may still be tropical next week.

I just adjust A/C to blow more cool air if needed. No need to sweat at all.
It’s going to be fun hiking for me over the weekend. On the positive side I only need the most lightweight sleeping bag I have and a simple rain cover.
Don’t know why, but at the moment FMI forecasts the lowest temperature to be 17 degrees where I live, which is in southern part of Northern Ostrobothnia, somewhere between the 21 and 24 degree notions on this map.
Moving to Lapland
I live in the north and it’s so hot my partner and I have had to sleep on our balcony a few times because we have no AC. I hope this ends soon :’D
Back in the day, these were normal daytime — not nighttime — temperatures

I grew up in the southern US and am moving there soon, sorry I’m taking some of that weather with me I guess 😂
