A delegation from Poland’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) attended the International Defence Industry Fair in Istanbul. During the visit, talks were also held with representatives of the local defence industry.

A day after visiting the Spanish shipyard Navantia in Cartagena, where the MoD delegates reviewed submarine offerings for the Orka programme, Deputy Minister of Defence Paweł Bejda was present at the Istanbul arms fair IDEF 2025.

This year’s International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) is being held in Istanbul from 22nd to 27th July. At this year’s edition, attended by, among others, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the visitors could get acquainted with unmanned systems, armoured combat vehicles, rocket launchers, simulators, and combat electronics.

According to the MoD website, during Minister Bejda’s visit to Türkiye, the Secretary of State held talks with Prof. Haluk Görgün, President of the Turkish Defence Industry Agency, as well as with İlham Keleş, Director General of the Turkish state arms manufacturer MKE.
