  1. She’s right, and it was a good thing. Seems like she has a very happy life and a solid career.

  2. I don’t even remember what song she sang. She was hardly in their league.

  3. Is this how you get back in the news? Can I claim I was boring to get more attention? Can you? Let’s all complain how we werent distinct enough as popdtars with no brand strategy or viable commercial product to stay relevant.

  4. If she would have stayed with vinney chase it might have been different

  5. Maybe but In My Pocket is arguably one of the top 10 of the 90s/early 00s songs of the pop girls

  6. I think she’s had a good career. Plus she has Disney Princess money lol

  7. Can someone tell me Why in the fuck does Kacey Kelce have a podcast?

  8. She was great in Scrubs and in Tangled (arguably the best Disney princess).

  9. I only remember her from A Walk to Remember.

I do not remember anything about it except that she dies.

  10. Aww she might have felt like the most boring back then but honestly she was and still is iconic in her own way She had such a genuine down to earth vibe that made her stand out Candy is still a bop and she has had such a cool evolution with acting and music Quiet icon energy for sure

  11. Tame? Yes. Boring? No. Jessica Simpson and Ashley Simpson were boring.

  12. She is also has the most stable life of the 2000s pop stars and she now lives a comfortable life. Mandy Moore never reached the “height” of her peers, but that is a blessing. She earned enough of a fortune to live comfortably for the rest of her life and then she returned to a private life. That is the dream.

  13. I remember seeing her reaction on Punked. They set it up to where she accidentally demolished someone’s house or something. She looked so genuinely human and concerned. I didn’t see that with a lot of other celebrities. Not that I really follow any of this stuff that closely, but I remember gaining respect for her after seeing that.

  14. Didn’t even remember she was a pop star.
I only remember This Is Us.

  15. a lot of people here misinterpreting what she said. she never said she was boring, she’s saying she’s the most boring compared to her contemporaries. some of you need to learn how to read

  16. My favorite song by her is crush. My childhood memories are filled with that song so I will be always grateful for that song. It reminds me of my motherland when I was still at home.

  17. I mean… yeah? Her song were safe, although Candy and In My Pocket are respective bops.

Acting was definitely the right path for her.

Edit: She was sort of included within the pop princesses culture moment, which is a feat on its own. Shout out to Willa Ford, who almost made it to the club.

  18. How could anyone forget her breakthrough role in the Princess Diaries?

  19. her 2003 cover album Coverage is still worth an listen… and the name seems a direct comparison to the other pop stars of the time (aka Stripped which came out the same year)

  20. She’s clearly still very well adjusted having not achieved that “upper echelon” of pop fame. Good on her that she managed to navigate fame successfully.

  21. Haven’t gone through ALL the comments, but went through a lot and there is no mention of her greatness in This Is Us. She will always be Rebecca to me.

  22. It’s true, she was always beige, compared to her sisters. With that being said, she’s also one of the most emotionally stable 00 popstars.
