  1. Don’t read this if you don’t want your day ruined. Genuinely upsetting.

  2. What a nasty piece of work he is.

Poor baby. Poor family. Poor mother. He’s ruined many lives there.

  3. I have no idea how people can willingly do something like this.

  4. “A medical expert said during the trial that Brendon’s injuries were consistent with his head being swung against a hard surface “more than once” while he was held by his ankles.”

    Like the Nazis.

  5. Absolute fucking scum. That is horrendous.
Here’s hoping he suffers everyday of his miserable life behind bars

  6. I have zero understanding of what drives anybody to commit an act like this willingly. There must be a serious mental disorder for someone to have a complete lack of empathy for a defenceless baby.

  7. He will have a fun time in prison. It had better be for a long long time.

  8. I sadly made the mistake of reading about. Absolutely horrific. What genuinely horrid, evil people

  9. I generally don’t condone the death penalty, but if I did…

  10. Wish I never read this. Just hugged my 10 week old that little bit tighter 🥺

  11. They say the injuries *appear* to be caused by hitting against a surface.

They don’t have actual footage to prove what he did and at what time?

Why is there still no CCTV in NICU wards for security especially after Lucy Letby and now this?

  12. I get people being against the death penalty but then you read about cases like this and it makes you think some humans can never be rehabilitated into society and to attack someone so defenceless that scumbag doesn’t deserve oxygen even prison is too kind

  13. This man is not only an evil piece of shit, but something tells me he also has an *extremely* low IQ / severely low intelligence.

  14. So the motive was he got angry for having to change a nappy!? Wtf

  15. Just put this man in a hole already. Jesus fucking Christ.

  16. There’re no words for the kind of evil you have to be to do this to a baby.

If I say anything more I’ll likely get banned so I’ll just say I hope he gets the maximum sentence possible.

  17. I’m sorry but cases like this should face a whole life tariff.Utterly evil.

  18. Piece of unworthy cr*p. Why oh why would a hospital let him near the baby when it’s in an incubator?! I can’t talk about the mother, that’s on a level of understanding I will never have, who knows what she’s endured to let him anywhere near the baby. Baby’s with God now, finally truly safe in His arms.

  19. Sounds like the mother was also a problem. Kid had no chance.

  20. Reading this holding my 8 week old son. How could you?

    Vile excuse of breath.

  21. Life’s not fair man. I can never be a Dad, and this waste of space gets to have a kid only to do this. What a vile, toxic person. I am not going to read the article though just to keep my sanity.

  22. Can we replsce dad with absolute fucking monster on the headline please.

There’s no level of consequence that will inflict enough justice on that abhorrant animal.

  23. It is truly a horrifying thing to have read. I’ll hold my little one tighter before bedtime tonight. What a truly barbaric individual.

  24. Feel bad for the grandfather interviewed: it’s the paternal line, so he knows his own son killed his grandson. How do you live with that horror?

  25. While the nurses desperately tried to save the baby’s life the couple went outside to have a fag. It’s mind boggling but not uncommon, a very high profile case happened in my hospital a couple of years back and the ‘mum’ was more interested in getting a free sandwich and finding a place to charge her phone. The kid died.

  26. I’m sorry how did the mother get away scot-free when she was obviously a part of all this. Tired of women getting away with stuff like this.

  27. Just fucking why? Why would anyone do that? I’m so heartbroken and disturbed by this. That poor child.

  28. Don’t think anyone would be against the noose for this one

  29. Christ. I thought it would be bad but evil as a word doesn’t cut it.

    The lowest of the low.

  30. There is no way he’ll survive in prison for long if his fellow inmates ever find out

  31. As a parent who had his baby attached to him in a sling, this devastated me and I had to stop reading half way through the story. Stuff like this honestly tempts me to want to call for a return of the death penalty. It’s such an unspeakably evil act

  32. I don’t understand one part of the story.

He’d already been rough with the baby and tried to forcibly remove some tubing plus threatened nurses

Why was he allowed to touch the baby at all after that? Surely someone should have been “Nah, you can’t be here”.

  33. For those that don’t want to read the article and get the most horrific, visceral details, this is a detail that seems important –

    >Brendon was born on 20 February, but the couple left the hospital on 29 February and did not return until the afternoon of 4 March.

  34. Did this all happen in the hospital? If so, where were the doctor’s and nurses?

  35. I stupidly read this on the way home from work and ended up crying on public transport. This is an extremely distressing story. I also object to the headline – this bastard is not a “dad”. He’s scum.

  36. If he ‘got angry’ at the baby while just changing the nappy imagine what he would be like with a toddler !!! Doesn’t bare thinking about 😫

  37. I can only say that you probably shouldn’t read the article- it is so deeply disturbing and tragic.
I wish I hadn’t. That poor, poor baby, I have no words for how heartbroken I am for him.

  38. I hope his time in prison is lengthy enough for him to have nothing to go back to, then brought to a swift end behind bars.
