Saratoga County, NY (WRGB) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault call on Monday at 11:20 AM on state Route 67 in the town of Malta. The investigation led to the arrest of 61-year-old John Anderson of Mechanicville, NY, for attempted assault in the second degree, a class E felony.
Anderson is accused of intentionally attempting to cause physical injury to another person by punching them in the face following a road rage-type incident. The victim was reportedly 65 years of age or older, while Anderson was more than 10 years younger than the victim.
Anderson was released on an appearance ticket pending further proceedings in the Malta Town Court.
