But I thought Trump was a master business strategist?
Only almost 30% and only postponing new investments?
Every company should be taking all of their investments out of usa immediately.
So 70% are continuing US investments?
That’s a good start, Germany!! Let’s get those numbers up!
Makes sense, you never know what US is going to do when it keeps changing its mind.
Yeah, our president is an idiot
Put it in Canada, bro!
The company I work for opend another headquarter in Mexico and pretty much closed down the US one. The US headquarter was getting everything from Germany at basically self costs + transport and could sell it to the entire north american continent for 500%+ margin (which was 100% invested in US assets to help them getting an even larger market share) a very good deal for them now they are only allowed to sell to the US and the mexican headquarter covers Mexico+Canada.
15% canceled
29% reduced
That 30% postponing is basically just money that can’t yet decide if it’s in one of those two categories, but wait a while and it’s de-facto the canceled category.
So we’re looking at ~75% of German companies reducing US investment, some all the way to zero.
I work for a large German company and they are closing manufacturing plants elsewhere and doubling down on US manufacturing. Just delivering firsthand facts.
How does this make America great?
We are going to swimming in TARIFF MONEY!!!
Trump & Lutnick don’t have a clue. Just like the Tik Toc deal that was supposed to happen by now
Trump is focused on dealing with the PEDOPHILE in the White House
Wait I thought we had 16 trillion dollars in investment what happened? /s
Just thirty percent? Seriously?
All of this is just nonsense base level data. Who is doing this survey and who is responding? Are companies actually gonna respond their tactics lol.
I would. Too much political and economic uncertainty. Imagine investing millions or billions in some endeavor here, only to have Dear Leader throw a temper tantrum and confiscate your assets. Hard pass!
Companies in Germany and elsewhere are also postponing or canceling domestic investments, because nobody has any idea what future market conditions will be thanks to all the tariff chaos.
No company operates in a total vacuum completely separated from US tariff policy. Even if you only make goods and services outside the US from inputs from outside the US for sale outside the US you will still be affected by the uncertainty.
