The EU exists as nothing more than a Leftwing cancer.
What Europe must do is radically reform the way the institutions work, so there are fast ways to cease all funding (as step 1), suspend voting rights (step 2) and expel a country from the Union (step 3).
Phenomena like PiS and Fidesz (and I don’t trust Romania and Bulgaria not to follow at some point, if some greedy and cunning politicians decide that cultural “traditionalism” will bring easy votes) should never happen again within the Union. You want to go full Serbia/Russia mode, get out.
More like Europe should copy Fidesz, they were the main initial ones putting a halt to the immigration madness!
There is a bit of confusion here. It’s about the restauration of the flow of EU funds. Hungary still has elections and representatives.

Hold.on, restore democracy by voting one party out and voting in another. If I remember rightly that is democracy.
While Orban is a danger to the project, EU should in no way interfere with the democratic process in Hungary, besides validating the lack of fraud.
Ask the US, they will do it really fast with guns blazing
The only thing EU should do (and is legally allowed to do) is the withholding of funds any thing other than that is foreign intrusion
