  1. Well, hopefully that might fix things. I hope it’s not just a re-worded version of what was done the other day.

  2. Seems like very poor political judgment on the part of Zelensky that it ever came to this. No idea what they were thinking or how they thought citizenry or Western partners would be okay with it.

  3. Well, IMO, phrase “поїв гівна безкоштовно” (“ate shit for free”) perfectly describes the whole situation.

  4. This looks like a stunt to clean some rows there. Weaken the independence, 4 weeks “holiday” and bring back the independence. I think there will be an answer in the next few weeks why this was handled this way.

  5. I hate to think that President Zelenskyy had any dishonorable reasons for his first bill but regardless, trying to hide or bury the wrongful actions of another is a terrible decision. The truth will always come out.

Also, who the fuck in their right mind takes any action that could be interpreted as corrupt, in any level of government especially stealing from your country? It’s just beyond my comprehension that they could do this and not expect to be found out and punished accordingly.

  6. Zelensky has even given the reasons for the bill a few times now, there were some cases taking suspiciously years to sort out, and the two organisations were suspected to be compromised by russians. We have to believe that he had a lot of info about it before he got behind the bill. However it obviously went down like a poo bag with a hole in, and he’s had to roll it back. I’m glad he’s listened to his people, and I hope he can still address the problem which caused the bill in the first place, so that Ukraine gets its best interests served and stays united and strong

  7. I really can’t say anything about this. all I see is a country with leadership thats beholden to the will of its people. these days I expect leaders to simply ignore protests
