i hit my car while entering parking area, did not see the metal bar installed on the side 😭
anyone knows a mechanic guy? i guess in france or belgium it would cost cheaper.

  1. Wing would need to be replaced and repainted. Go to an independent specialist rather than the garage. Still going to cost a pretty penny.

    Looks like it was hit by a motorbike ?

  2. For any clear ideas maybe add car and brand/model..

    But also depends on damage below it.. but i would as noob estimate at least 1k cos they will prob need to replace the whole part (and depending on damage maybe others join parts too

    What insurance do you have? Might cover it?

  3. To see from photos it’s a volkswagen.

    Really depends if only front panel (in german kotflugel) is damaged.

    Looks like door is not damaged.

    Maybe you can only replace the front panel.

    I once had damage(audi a6) and searched for parts. In the end i didn’t repair.
    But i was surprised to find a replacement panel in the correct color for just ~200 euros.

    If you are handy and cost is out of own pocket replacement of the panel is not that difficult.
    (But from photos is not to see if there is more damage)

  4. At a dealership/autopolis/carosserie shop I would guess around 1000. Saying that, if you’re handy, a new unpainted wing would be around 100-200, and professional painting is around 200-300, so a DIY job would cost half the amount

  7. If you drive into a similar obstacle on the opposite side you could pass it off as the design of the car.

  8. Some asshole scratched my car today while it was parked. And left no note. I probably need to pay more for anger management than to get that buffed up. Absolute asshole!
