GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares eased from highs on Friday, with Japanese markets retreating from a record peak, as investors locked in profits ahead of a crucial week that includes U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff deadline and a host of central bank meetings.
VICE PRESIDENT
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) in Istanbul (1200 GMT).
FOREIGN MINISTER
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with European Union’s enlargement commissioner Marta Kos in Ankara.
IRAN-E3 TALKS
France, Britain and Germany will hold face-to-face talks with Iran in Istanbul for the first time since U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June.

The central bank will release capacity utilisation data for July (0700 GMT).
MANUFACTURING CONFIDENCE DATA (TRGRWT=ECI)
The central bank will also publish July manufacturing confidence figures (0700 GMT).
CENTRAL BANK RATE CUT
Turkey’s central bank cut interest rates by 300 basis points to 43% on Thursday, more than expected, resuming an easing cycle that had been disrupted by political turmoil earlier this year, as markets have since calmed and disinflation continued.
WILDFIRES
Firefighters battled multiple wildfires across Turkey and Cyprus on Thursday that have scorched swathes of land, forced the evacuation of towns and villages and killed 10 firefighters in central Turkey amid a searing Mediterranean heatwave.
