Now that that’s out of the way the next 49 ones are gonna be wild
> The duo were asked whether they got any notes from the network over the episode — and Parker and Stone said most of the debate revolved around the episode’s animated tiny Trump penis.
> Said Parker: “it’s always like, ‘so we love the episode,’ but that’s what happened. They’re like, ‘OK, but we’re gonna blur the penis.’ And I’m like, ‘No, you’re not gonna blur the penis.’”
> Added Stone: “We put eyes on the penis.”
> Parker noted, that he told the network “if we put eyes on the penis, we won’t blur it. And then that was a whole conversation for about four fucking days. It’s a character.” That’s how that happened. I only”
What’s to blur? I couldn’t see anything.
Guys, there’s like 2 people left at Comedy Central. It’s just the guy who picks which The Office episodes they’re gonna air that day and the guy who makes sure the raccoons don’t get out of that one conference room. I’m sure whoever picked up the phone was just like “yeah sure whatever you want. Can I go home now? I miss my kids”
Paramount/skydance merger got approved. Like 7 hours ago.
Let this be a lesson to Paramount. Take risks! Be controversial! The people love it!
#Paramount Global, as the parent company of Comedy Central has stated they will not be renewing the contract for South Park as previously announced.
In a public statement, Paramount Global Head of Global Communications and Media Relations, Brooke Roberson stated “We’ve chosen to end our current contract with South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone for reasons completely unrelated to their recent comments criticizing President Donald J. Trump. We as a global media leader deeply value our nearly thirty-year collaboration with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone but now feel as a family-friendly global entertainment company “South Park” no longer fits in our repertoire of family-friendly media content.”
People forget that SP is not on tv/cable anymore, they’re on a streaming platform that has less rules to follow.
