Good for France the Palestinians and the world.
The US also strongly rejects universal healthcare & equality, amongst other things.
The rest of the world needs to follow suit.
The Israeli foreign minister posting a tweet of Macron getting bitch slapped by his wife is objectively hilarious.
As for the French… they’ve committed to taking any Palestinian refugee, and now they’re commiting to this… Really seems like that trip to Qatar was a profitable one for Macron but dang if the EU isn’t going to get absolutely fucked with internal migration once that door is opened up.
Sadly the inevitable result from this is a rise in right wing assholes, and a rise in islamist ideal proliferating through local governments- that’s a collision course that makes me happy I’m not European.
Doesn’t matter what the US thinks.
Viva la France!
It’s so wild how governments have their panties in a wad over one other country recognizing that a group of people exist. Lol
The same US that forced a kindergarten teacher to remove her “Everyone Is Welcome” sign because the message is too “political”?
Macron wanted Abbas to condemn the Oct 7 massacre and demand Hamas to release the hostages, which he did in a joined statement with Mohammed Bin Salman, the Saudi prince. However apart from that statement, he repeatedly praised Hamas for the massacre, for instance just two days earlier. Macron doesn’t care, he got the lip service he wanted. Disgusting.
I wonder if the Saudis will pull the lever if more countries recognize them but the US doesn’t. The return of the 70s oil crisis in the 21st century if you will
The U.S. rejects borders and treaties, so fuck’em.
First they come for our fries 🍟
When Saudi Arabia is hailing you for anything, that’s probably a fair indication that you’re not doing a particularly good thing.
But yeah, recognizing that the Palestinian state exists is easy, providing the context under which it can coexist with Israel is the actual issue here.
Screw the USA and Isnotreal.
[Hamas praised Macron](https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/welcoming-french-announcement-hamas-says-it-reflects-growing-global-support-for-palestinian-cause/)
When Hamas is praising someone, you know they did the wrong thing. Macron wants to reward Oct. 7.
Americans also strongly support a pedo as their leader
sounds like France is right about this
I applaud the French plan. We ( US ) have no business telling other countries what to do.
I’m very skeptical of Macron’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state without a clear plan articulated. However, if regional power players like the Saudis are finally willing to step up to the plate & guide an established Palestinian state towards stability this *may* turn out to be a very good thing. Only time will tell.
US influence wanes under Trump.
Macron usually has good foreign policy, I’d like to see him lay out his plan and argumentation more.
As Battlefield 6 predicted. Nicely done, France!
Everyone should be pro recognition. For palestinians its the obvious legitimacy that any group wants and deserves.
But even for israel it should in theory be easier to negotiate and deal with an actual country.
If october 7th happens and palestine is a country that makes it a declaration of war by a country instead of an attack by an organization.
Guardians Of Pedophiles in action folks
Would this interfere with Donald’s plan to depopulate Palestine so can build resorts and golf courses?
Honestly, countries are starting not to give a fuck what the US thinks and for good reason.
Im not against the act itself but how its been done.
I would be on board if he would have said something like. “If hamas release the hostages we will recognise palestine.”
Now, hes basicly telling Hamas they just need to take enough hostages and kill enough gazans and israelis and they get whatever they want.
Of course the US rejects it, they’re being blackmailed by Israel.
What does Israel have on the US? It must be really good.
