Air Serbia has appointed FlyUs Aviation Group (FlyUs) as its exclusive general sales agent (GSA) in the Netherlands, extending the pair’s existing partnership across Europe.
The appointment sees FlyUs take charge of Air Serbia Cargo’s sales, marketing, operations and administrative support in the Dutch market, with a particular focus on maximising daily belly-hold capacity from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG).
FlyUs will also promote onward connections across Air Serbia’s wider network, which includes destinations in Europe, China, and the US, as well as niche routes in Southeast Europe where the carrier holds a strong market presence.
Veselin Đorđević, head of cargo at Air Serbia, said: “Air Serbia’s services are already well recognised in the Dutch market. Through the partnership with FlyUs, we aim to further strengthen our presence and expand market penetration.
“In addition to our established operations in Europe, China, and the US, we provide direct access to several niche and traditionally underserved destinations across Europe and Southeast Europe, where we hold a leading position. With the continuous growth of our network and increased flight frequencies, including the recent launch of direct services to Tbilisi, we anticipate even greater reliance on our offerings from the Netherlands.”
FlyUs already represents the Serbian carrier in Belgium and Austria. The expansion of this partnership underscores FlyUs’ growing role in supporting European cargo growth for the airline.
Carlo de Haas, president and chief executive officer at FlyUs, said: “With Air Serbia’s daily service from Schiphol, we’re offering forwarders a reliable, high-frequency gateway to key designations across Air Serbia’s network. Headquartered at Schiphol and with a strong local presence, we’re uniquely positioned to drive growth for Air Serbia across the Netherlands, working closely with Dutch forwarders to deliver tailored solutions to meet their exact needs.”
Air Serbia operates daily Airbus A319 flights from Amsterdam to Belgrade, providing consistent belly-hold cargo capacity on a route increasingly important to regional logistics flows. The collaboration with FlyUs is expected to help increase market share and build greater awareness among Dutch freight forwarders of the airline’s broader network and capabilities.
