Just as The Onion predicted, Trump and Lee Zeldin’s EPA no longer cares about the whole “Environmental Protection” thing. It’s dedicating itself to serving fossil fuels instead, at the expense of human health and wealth. How can we reverse this?

  1. From Bloomberg:

“In March, the humor publication The Onion ran a story with the headline “[EPA to Drop ‘E,’ ‘P’ From Name](https://theonion.com/epa-to-drop-e-p-from-name-1819567767/).” Sometimes things are funny because they’re true. Other times satire buckles beneath the weight of reality. This was arguably an example of the latter: About a week earlier, I had run a [column](https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2025-03-14/epa-decided-protecting-the-environment-is-just-too-much?sref=ZtdQlmKR) for this very serious publication with a similar headline.

“At most, there’s only gallows humor to be derived from the move by the Environmental Protection Agency under President Donald Trump and Administrator Lee Zeldin to abandon any pretense of protecting the environment. Human suffering and economic loss will inevitably follow. The only question now is how much damage “The Agency” will be allowed to do.”

  2. How to reverse it? We tax billionaires like Mike Bloomberg.

  3. get money out of politics and the greedy pigs won’t come snooting around looking for their cut.

  4. “Environmental Pollution Agency”. I’m annoyed they don’t even have to go to the trouble of changing the acronym.

  5. If you can figure out how to break through the Fox “News” wall, I’m all ears.

  6. Revolution.

Quite seriously, there no way in hell we fix anything in time with the current set of rules and incentives, and the extraordinary concentration of power in the hands of people and institutions who are willing on the destruction.

  7. either by some miracle their heart grows three sizes or they get removed from power .

  8. You remove the problems 🤷‍♂️ how else do we deal with criminals?

  9. Zeldin is a piece of sh_t. Garbage. He’s in league with billionaires and is greedy now.

  10. You can help Democrats retake the House in 2026 and try to retake the presidency and Senate/all of Congress in 2028.

The reason Republicans are in this position is because they have long-term goals and don’t give up at the first sign of adversity, while Democratic voters always have to be pulled kicking and screaming to the voting booth (or have to “fall in love” with their candidates).
