Canada condemns Israel over humanitarian crisis in Gaza

1. I thought it was Hamas intercepting all the humanitarian aid sent to Gaza. I guess Canada knows better.

4. Everyone loves oversimplifying this.

   What Canada (and many other countries) are pissed about in the prioritization of killing members of Hamas over feeding and sheltering the population.

   There is no question that both goals must be accomplished. Israel is simply putting too much effort into the former and not enough of the latter.

   Feed the population, and you have the world’s blessing to kill each and every member of Hamas. It’ll take longer and you will likely lose more soldiers, but civilians need to be protected. I hate that Israel is in this position, but they must be held to a standard.

5. Isn’t this after the UN withheld massive truckloads of Aid?

6. Every year millions of dollars in tax revenue are diverted from paying for Canadian roads schools and bridges by Israeli charities. Carney could pull those tax deductible statuses tomorrow if he wanted to. It’s all talk and bullshit.

7. Need action from the Canadian government statements are fine but put pressure on Israel.

9. Honest question. Has there ever been a war where the country that is winning is required to provide aid to the territory that is losing?

   It seems that laying siege to a territory during war is a practice of war that has always been around.
