Finance industry insiders have expressed concern about the lack of stablecoins guidance in the UK’s digital strategy published this month, as a “battle” appears to be bubbling among regulators about how to approach the asset class.

As part of the chancellor’s Mansion House reforms, the UK government earlier this month announced a sweeping strategy to digitalise wholesale financial markets last week, centred on the adoption of distributed ledger technology and tokenised assets.
