On July 24th, a border patrol found a dead moose on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in the Ivye District, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of Belarus’ State Border Committee

The animal was moving from Belarus to Lithuania, but trying to cross the European border fence resulted in its death.


“Since September 2021, the Belarusian side has documented 55 animal deaths caused by European border fences. Among these, 36 incidents happened along the border with Lithuania,” the Belarusian border agency stated.
