Unusual temperatures: Temperatures have exceeded 30°C (86°F) for 13 consecutive days, as of July 24, in Namsskogan and Grong, breaking the previous record of 12 days set in 1982. On average, this stretch of unusual warmth is running 8°C to 10°C above normal for mid-to-late July.
Sea surface temperatures off Norway’s northern coast are exceptionally warm as well. Ocean temperatures exceeding 19°C (66°F) are currently 5.5°C to 6°C (10°F to 11°F) above average for this time of the year. Unusual warmth that can reinforce the record heat being experienced over land.
Climate influence: Daily maximum temperatures reached a CSI level 3 in cities across multiple regions across Norway, including Trondheim and Bergen. A CSI 3 indicates that human-caused climate change made this event at least 3 times more likely, signaling a significant climate change event.
I get the feeling that “the plan” to fix climate is to let billions of people die rather than change a damn thing.
