A million people sign French petition against bringing back bee-killing pesticide • FRANCE 24
Even farmers are divided over the issue of toxic pesticides and whether they should be reintroduced. As more than one million people signed a petition against a law reauthorizing acetimrid, this pig farmer said people who don’t know the business should not sign the petition. If someone asked me if the hospital should be shut down, I wouldn’t answer because I’m not competent on the issue. Unfortunately, today many French people have opinions on everything, but they don’t know what’s at stake. Several studies show that acetamid is not just a bee killer, but also toxic for humans. But some farmers say that bands should only exist if they apply to all of Europe. Since we’re all European, the same laws should apply to all of us. So, we all play by the same rules. This beekeeper though thinks bee killing pesticides should be banned. He has already seen their devastating consequences before their ban in 2018. One year I lost all of my hives. They were close to a field. It was due to the pesticides used by the farmer. To him the petition is excellent news. The government cannot ignore the massive support for this text. Macron can decide not to sign the bill into law. On Sunday, the parliament speaker said that the petition will trigger a debate, but will not block nor change the law voted earlier this month. We have to listen to the people. We will hold a debate, but this debate will not it cannot change the text that was just voted. The government and president have yet to react to this historic petition that got far more support than any other initiative.
More than a million people had by Sunday signed a petition urging the French government to ditch a law allowing the reintroduction of a banned pesticide known to kill bees. The so-called “Duplomb law” has stirred public anger for permitting a return of acetamiprid — a chemical known to be toxic to pollinators such as bees and to ecosystems. It was adopted on July 8 but has not yet come into effect.

Of course, this farmer is biased and wants to do as he pleases and not have anyone intervene in his affairs.
Sorry farmer but when it's about health, your personal business goals don't exist, I'm gonna sign that petition
NO NO PESTICIDES
"i can't tell a hospital how to work"
"but i can send as many people to the hospital as i want with my pesticide"
Yes ban it
If someone doesn't like products with pesticides, it's easy not to consume them, but it doesn't force farmers to stop using them.
