The rich don’t get rich from insulation and better heating systems.
The rich get rich by being able to drop stocks and shares into huge companies that benefit from large engineering project contracts.
I’m saying this as someone who also supports Nuclear. But we need a multi pronged approach. And the Tories are nothing if not one dimensional.
The thing about energy efficiency strategies is that most electronic donestic devices are fairly close to 90% efficiency.
Even a computer processor only produces heat after it has done its job.
So extra energy efficiencies inherently involves a nanny-state like culture that has to regulate behaviours, which will go down like a cup of cold sick with voters.
