THANKS, BETH. THE OPEN DOOR MISSION HANDED OUT THOUSANDS OF MEALS TODAY. IT WAS THEIR CHRISTMAS IN JULY EVENT. THE NONPROFIT HANDED OUT ABOUT 4000 TURKEY DINNERS IN THEIR DRIVE-THRU LINE. OPEN DOOR MISSION SAYS THE MEALS WERE FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS THEM. FOR THE FAMILIES THAT WE SERVE. MOST OF THEM GET LOW LIKE THEY’RE LOW INCOME, SO THEIR KIDS AT SCHOOL GET FREE BREAKFAST, FREE LUNCH, AND DURING SUMMER BREAK, THEY DON’T. SCHOOL IS NOT GOING ON, SO NOBODY’S MAKING EXTRA MONEY TO PROVIDE EXTRA TWO MEALS A DAY FOR EACH CHILD THAT’S AT HOME. SO THIS HOPEFULLY IS JUST GOING TO HELP OFFSET, YOU KNOW, ALL THE OTHER BILLS AND STUFF GOING ON SO THAT THEY CAN STAY IN THEIR OWN HOME OR PUT GAS IN THE CAR OR FOOD ON THE TABLE, PAY A BILL, WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE DONE. THOSE CHRISTMAS MEALS INCLUDED TURKEY, STUFFING, MASHE
