Jessica Tarlov Sets the Record Straight

General Motors profit shrank 35% last quarter. President Trump’s tariffs are costing Jeep makers Stantis hundreds of millions of dollars. The cost of beef is at its highest level since the 1980s. And from today, independents drive Trump’s approval to 37%, a second term low. So, the only president to beat him is himself from the first term. border security. Sure, he still has a positive approval rating on that, but not on immigration as a whole because lo and behold, people don’t want grandmas and people who’ve been here for decades rounded up. They don’t want people sent to SECOT. He’s lost 40 points with Gen Z’s. So, there goes that narrative that suddenly young people are conservatives. Independents approval down to 27%. But the cherry on top, I think, is that 70% say that Trump hasn’t done enough to lower prices, and that is the reason that he won this election.

From immigration to the cost of living, Trump’s presidency has been a failure.

  1. WTF is this woman getting these numbers from? And how are they coming up with them? Be at his is a flat out lie. Yea some car industry will take a hit until it gets sorted out, but Americans are making billions on these tariffs.

    Many costs have gone down including gas and inflation im tired of these manipnumbers from the same idiots who shilled for any Biden just because they hate trump.

    He didn't win because he promised lower prices.
    He won because of racism and misogyny.

  12. Trump won because the majority refused to vote for a black woman. The economy was a an excuse they used to cover up their hate. Ask any Trump voter who regrets their vote if they should have supported Kamala instead, and listen as they all say 'no'.

    Medicaid.
    Food Stamps.
    FOIA. (Freedom of Information Act)
    Voting Right Act.
    Civil Rights Act.
    Public Broadcasting (PBS / NPR)
    Brown v. BOE (made school discrimination illegal)
    Loving v. Virginia (made interracial marriage legal)
    Plus multiple Housing, Immigration and Environmental Bills

Ppl who say race isn’t or wasn’t a factor in this last election are feeling the repercussions of voting for a yt man just so they didn’t have to vote for a black woman. Everything Kamala said he was gonna do he did. If the first term wasn’t a preview to his madness this country voted him in again. Despite his convictions, despite his threats to democracy, and a host of other scandals. We are in some terrible times. The years it will take to recover from this tragedy will be long and hard. We are only 7 months into a 4 year sentence and we are already exhausted. God help us!
