  1. There is a museum owned by the Ministry of Culture of NM in Stip with a wax figure of him. Maybe Macedonians are also fascist and nazi xd

  2. anti-Bulgarian independence fighter/terrorist = good

    pro-Bulgarian independence fighter/terrorist = nazi fascist bad

He never expressed Nazi views and he is celebrated purely as a freedom fighter. From his POV what is now North Macedonia was under Serbian occupation with Bulgarians being ethnically cleansed en masse and he was willing to ally with anyone that would help him achieve **independence** – not a merge with Bulgaria.

The rest of the Balkans allied with a Russian Empire (mid 1800s) committing the Circassian genocide to achieve their independence and millions of Muslims including surviving Circassian refugees were ethnically cleansed out of the peninsula during the Russo-Ottoman wars. Surprisingly none of the Russian “collaborators” are equated to Nazis.

He has also received honors by the current purely Macedonian ethno-nationalist VMRO in 2014 and those who honored him, interestingly weren’t equated to Nazis.

With that said whoever decided upon the name at this current time should be fired, it really is very tone deaf and counter-productive.

  3. We had 3 elections in one year to form an unstable government and part of it is the far right. If there is anything these “patriots” care about it’s Macedonia so I don’t expect any progress from our side.

It’s inconvenient to the entire Union and our Macedonian neighbors, but that’s politics. Wait a few years and things may be better (or worse, lol).
