New Dublin Bus, Luas and Irish Rail fares just dropped!
New fares just dropped! The 90 min fare will be reduced to €2 across all modes from 9 May.
The Young Adult (19-23) and student 90 min fare will be just €1. You could travel from Maynooth to Bray for €1! 🚉🚌 pic.twitter.com/GHe68RaVQx

Tbh they need to drop some more. I’m a student in Dublin and can’t believe how much I spend on catching the fricking bus to and from placement everyday, if I need to go to placement in the morning then onto college later and then back to my accomodation at the end of the day it’s nearly a tenner…at home I’m able to cross county lines on a 50 minute bus journey for less than my 7km journey by bus in Dublin. The bus to town from my own house is only 1.30.and that’s the same length of time and distance as my current commute to my placement which is the long fare in Dublin.
How do you go about getting a 19 – 23 yo leap card?
Just make public transport free 🙄
But the Luas is already free!
I’m probably missing something here, but is this for all commuter trains into Dublin? Im a Student and coming from Newbridge but can’t see if I would see any price difference.
They’ll charge you for opening the app next.
So they waited for the Luas price increase to come into effect at the start of May and then took 20% off. So instead of it being €1.84 it’s €2 for the 90 minute fare.
I didn’t realize they were being discounted at first and I came here ready to moan. Now I gotta moan about something else.
Fuck birds amirite.
Wake up, babe. New fares just dropped.
Ok, so how to you “tag off” on Dublin bus?
Is it only within the 90 mins, when you tell the drive where you are going and tap on the machine at his seat?
I’ve had lots of times when the driver has not been arse to work out how many stop I was going and charge to the max fare.
Anything about the rest of the country, or do the rest of us continue to get ripped off?
