  1. Newsletter sign ups*

I have signed up for updates and wouldn’t vote for a Corbyn led party if you paid me.

  2. The one thing that the Reform Party got right is the name, in the same way that the Green Party has it wrong.

Many voters won’t read much past the title of the book, so when we consider the problems we face right now, the phrase’ reform’ used to come up a lot. Selecting this name addresses the challenge that voters feel needs to be tackled.

Similarly, while Green stands politically where many people want to see change, it is often misread as a single-issue party due to its name (and their history).

I’d argue that “Your Party” doesn’t convey a clear purpose, and will struggle to communicate effectively with voters.

  3. God, I wish we had some kind of movement like this over in the states.

  4. That’s…. a terrible name. It’s about the only nice thing I have to say about them but “Reform” as a name is strong branding.

  5. My god the jokes write themselves if they actually keep that name

Its gonna be ChangeUK all over again

  6. This is bringing me back to ‘Your text here’ ‘Top text’ ‘ Bottom text’ memes of the early 2010s

  7. Politics aside, the name seems really bizarre. Frankly it sounds like an Abbott and Costello routine waiting to happen.

  8. That is a terrible name indicating they have not agreed a name yet

  9. As long as his not the leader, and Abbott isn’t included either, I’m all in.

  10. Not a great name ngl. Bit limp. Big Jez & Zarah’s Rockin’ House Party, now that’s a party to vote for.

Forreal tho, why not just call it the Worker’s Party or something?

  11. “Who are you voting for?”

    “Your party”

    “Well I’m voting for XYZ”

    “No, not them, your party”

    “What?”

  12. The fact that they announced a new party and couldnt even come up with a fucking name to launch with is a bit of a joke tbh, ‘Your party’ is also shite

  13. I am a left-of-centre former supporter of Corbyn. I can state with 100% confidence that this new party will end up as a shambolic mess. Anything led by this useless, incompetent, clapped-out, geriatric narcissist is doomed. He had his chance when he was leader of the Labour party and his bungling, indecisiveness, incompetence and lack of leadership ability gave us Brexit and gifted the Tories a massive majority. The fact that they are even considering the name “Your Party” tells you everything you need to know. It is the kind of simplistic and condescending titling that is used by countless ruthless capitalist endeavours and is immediately repellent.

We really need a well-organised and effective alternative to Labour’s current centrist approach, one that is more prepared to address the fundamental and systemic inequality in UK society. Unfortunately, this new party of Corbyn’s is going to make that far more difficult to achieve.

  14. Insert appropriate Peoples Front of Judea joke here. And Reform are the only ones who will think it’s funny.

I’d be interested to see where this party’s funding come from.

  15. I get that people don’t like Corbyn, but I can’t fault people for flocking towards him considering how dogshit Starmer is, there needs to be a place for left wing supporters to go and it’s clear that place isn’t Labour, anymore.

  16. It won’t be called that. It’ll be something like People’s Party or something.
