I’m confused by this campaign. Is it supposed to encourage foreigners to stay?

The messaging is that “I never thought to stay, but because of XYZ good reasons, I did”.
It’s relatable but I’m just curious who is driving this campaign. Did someone finally realise that many (highly qualified tax paying) foreigners are leaving because it’s hard to afford a house, incomes are stagnant etc, and this is an effort to reverse that?

It’s not a bad idea to foster positive ideas and a sense of community in a country with lots of foreigners.
“Is it supposed to encourage foreigners to stay?” -> in case YES, the sounds like a suuuuper desperate move…
I think it’s a great idea. There are a lot of foreigners who end up making Luxembourg their home for the long run. I personally think that helps the diversity of the country and doesn’t make it an expat hub like Singapore where half the population changes every 3 years
Campaigns like this don’t just come out of nowhere. When a state suddenly spends money telling people why they should stay, it’s often because…People have quietly started leaving.
The Nation Branding initiative (Luxembourg Let’s Make It Happen) is driving this campaign. It could also serve as a strategy to attract expats, rather than just focusing on retaining them, as many posts might suggest ?
It’s a relatable situation and message meant to smile and reflect on the fact that after all it’s not that bad? I really don’t see the confusing part. Also, incomes are stagnant? Have you looked around? The world is not exactly thriving, i’d say incomes are much less stagnant here than in 90% of places
I personally know someone that’s on this campaign. He/she is a very toxic person that makes it hard for other foreigners in his/her near circle. Soo don’t believe everything you see i guess.
I dunno, but for a shitty song it’s pretty catchy.
I know it’s not meant to be good, but still.
