Prithviraj Sukumaran on his father’s legacy

Prithviraj Sukumaran comes from a filmy background. His father Sukumaran and mother Mallika Sukumaran were renowned actors from the Malayalam film industry. His brother Indrajith Sukumaran is also an actor.

While speaking about his father’s legacy, the Sarzameen actor said, “I didn’t grow up in a very filmy household. I know it sounds a bit like an oxymoron given that my dad was an actor and my mother is an actress. My brother and I were not exposed to that side of life a lot.”

“In fact, a lot of stuff about my dad as an actor I discovered much later when I started doing cinema. So no, cinema is not something that we speak about a lot at home,” Prithviraj Sukumaran added.

While elaborating more about his acting journey, the Malayalam actor stated, “I am an accidental actor, like I am an accidental director because I never wanted to be an actor.”
