Report links US anti-Israel groups to Beijing-backed network aiding China

1. In November 2023, shortly after the Hamas attack on Israel, massive pro Palestinian protests erupted in Washington, DC. While appearing grassroots, a report by George Washington University revealed that some of the activism was financially and ideologically linked to a network tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

   At the center of this network is Neville Roy Singham, an American living in Shanghai, who has funded far left, anti Israel groups in the US, such as CodePink and the People’s Forum.

   It appears that China is using such activism to weaken US influence globally, spread anti Western narratives, and bolster its image in the Global South. The US Congress is now investigating Singham’s activities and their potential violation of foreign influence laws.

2. Yea they also took money from Hamas, the Jews knew this basically day one when they started barricading Jewish students inside university buildings and conducting pogroms on campus.
   Antisemetism is pervasive in basically every society, I could get people to start hunting Jews in the street with 100 bucks and a bullhorn.

4. Looks like it’s not only Qatar funding this kind of protests after all. I wonder if the Chinese are having buyers remorse after Trump tariff shenanigans hitting their economy directly and indirectly.

5. It’s simultaneously possible for many actors to protest against Israel and while some of them are funded by opportunists. This happens on every side and is part of the nuance that makes up “sides”.
