What do I do with my Orval?

  1. None of those really get close to the Orval glassware. I had one yesterday and the closest glassware I had was for Leffe. Bowl-like with a wide open top. I guess you could try the Martini / cocktail or the red wine glass?

  2. Champagne coupe (not flute), would be closest.
I just drink my Orval from its own glass. The difficult part is ageing it in my cellar before drinking it all.

  3. Maybe I should have clearified it that this was a rhetorical question/joke

Since I’m Belgian and I know how many people get offended by the use of a wrong glass

  4. I almost got banned for showing that my local café served Westmalle Tripel in the wrong glass. Be careful out there OP.

  5. I prefer my Orval nice and cold, 2 icecubes and a splash of raspberry grenadine. I find the best glass to drink it from, is one of those mustered jars with plastic lids (make sure it’s clean of course). Just had a straw and you’re good to go!

  6. Since Orval already comes in a glass container, why would you need to pour it into another glass container? /s
