  10. Those poor horses were probably stolen from Ukranian farmers. I remember reading reports that when the orcs were pushed back in 2022 from the area north of Kyiv, they had killed most of the farm animals in some areas, not even for food, just for their fucked up “entertainment” and then used the dead animals to poison wells and ponds.

    Or actually it should be quite easy to scare the horse into running away and then attack the orc!

    As someone concerned enough about animal welfare that I haven’t eaten meat for 15 years, I’m more worried about the horses and donkeys that are starving, or those that are let loose to forage among the landmines. They could persist for days without a hoof.

  16. The Nazis lost 600,000 horses on the Eastern Front during WW-II. They ate a lot of them.

  40. My grandfather rode a horse in WW1. He was a medic. I’m not sure if the Russians are even using medics so that would put them at the tech level of the Russo-Japanese War 1904-5.

  41. How is it that THIS is the image of the front that really bothers me. After years seeing these videos and these stills, knowing the carnage that is about to ensue… I just hope it was quick for that poor animal.
