Police announced they have submitted a prosecutor’s statement against an East Jerusalem resident for the murder of his 4-year-old daughter earlier this month. The murder investigation revealed that, on the day of the murder, the suspect, 34, brought his daughter to his parents’ home, where he was living, and around 3:00 a.m. woke up and took her for a “walk” in the garden, where he slit her throat. The suspect then washed the knife in the garden faucet, wrapped his daughter’s body in a blanket and returned her to her bed in the living room. He later entered his brother’s bedroom and stabbed him in the abdomen, and also injured his mother when she tried to stop him. His detention has been extended until Wednesday, pending the filing of an indictment against him.
