I just returned from spending 2 weeks living in Płock. This is the second year I’ve done this and I choose different Polish cities to visit afterwards. This year I chose Bielsko-Biała as I had a friend who lived there. I just have to say, I really enjoyed this city. It was quaint, calm, scenic, and pleasant to walk around. Public transportation was easy and there was excellent “lody” (a must when I’m in Poland).

I really had no idea what to expect. Obviously, I’m pretty used to Płock having spent a lot of time there and I like that city as well, but Bielsko-Biała really blew me away. Obviously, it’s not Gdańsk or Warszawa or Kraków, but for a city I knew nothing about I really found myself falling in love with it! I hope to return again! I’ll probably be back in Poland next year, though next year I need to visit Wrocław and Poznań.

  1. I spent some time there over Christmas it’s truly amazing. I loved the town square, the shopping centre, the gorgeous little cafes.
Restaurants and coffee shops are also amazing.
