Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are faced with their “biggest issue” yet as they attempt to reconcile with the Royal Family, according to a royal expert. Sussex aides were snapped in London earlier this month having a meeting with the King’s communication chief, which sparked hopes for a possible reconciliation between the two sides.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a series of explosive claims and allegations against the royals. However, not a single member of the Royal Family has commented on them. Meanwhile, the couple’s reputation has been plummeting ever since their bombshell exit from the Firm five years ago.
Now, a group of royal experts has said that it might be “too late” for Prince Harry to return and that he will have to work very hard to make people forget his accusations against the royals.
Royal author Robert Jobson told The Sun: “I think it’s too late. Too much has gone under the bridge, in my opinion. Too much water.”
Sky News royal editor Rhiannon Mills agreed and said the Duke had thrown the royals “under the bus”.
She said: “The biggest issue for Harry and Meghan is that an awful lot has been said.
“The whole family kind of went under the bus, really, in the documentaries and in Spare.
“And there are lots of things that they cannot erase in terms of what’s been said.”
In a interview with the BBC back in May, the Duke expressed his wish to reconcile with the royals.
He said that “some members of my family will never forgive me” for writing his memoir.
But he added: “It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now. If they don’t want that, that’s entirely up to them.”
