This sweet boy got into our building and seems sick or injured, he's shaking a lot and not moving much. I've got an appointment at the vet for him at 2.30, will also get him checked for a chip then. I think I've seen him around outside before, does he belong to anyone here, just in case he isn't chipped?

  1. we’re about a mile from Brownhill road (well depending on where abouts you are) and this looks a little like our neighbourhood cat, in the first pic, not so much in the second. It could be him, is there any chance you can DM me more piccies? and I’ll see if i can spot him round here in the meantime too, he stays mostly at one house but also likes to visit everyone on the estate lol

  2. That’s been left there because they had no choice like finding a baby in a basket out side your front door.

  3. Wait did someone leave the cat in the cage?

    And it’s injured / ill?

Seems like someone didn’t want to cost of dealing with it and abandoned it. I check Nextdoor forums and no one is looking for a ginger cat, but was the cat in the cage when you found them?

  4. If he’s lost then a worried owner might well have contacted Celia Hammond or the local vets – might be worth checking both for lost cat reports

  5. Thank you for looking out for him, OP! Keep us updated as to how the vet visit goes. His face looks pretty wide in the second pic, so he could be an unneutered male. They tend to wander and get into more fights than other cats, so that could explain any injuries.

  6. I’m in some local groups so will have a look. Hopefully it’s chipped!

  7. Thanks for the help, everyone! Drama over, he’s apparently just a drama queen who found himself in our building and freaked out. Nothing wrong with him and he’s gone off home now.

  8. It would be nice if people stopped just letting their cats fuck off and roam around as if it’s okay for them to do.

I hope you find the owner OP, glad you got him a vet appointment.
